Keeping Track of Complicated Patterns (from the July 2017 Newsletter)
When you have a pattern with any kind of design that repeats (as in an Aran sweater)
Write out each row on an index card and just flip it to the next card when you finish a row.
Then put a rubber band around all the cards when you stop knitting so that you automatically know what to do when you pick up the knitting again.
Many stores now carry index cards on a spiral backing.
If you use a paperclip, you can sometimes get the cards to stand in teepee fashion to make reading easier.
